Free-Range Eggs

We bring in our eggs from the Bláha family, whose hens spend the whole day outside on the meadow and only go into the coop for the night. It shows in the yolk, which is a deep orange and firm, not pale like from a caged hen. We pack them in a paper tray, not plastic, and deliver within a few days of laying. Keep them in the fridge, pointed end down, and they will last the longest. They work for everything from scrambled eggs to baking, but you will really notice the difference in a simple hard-boiled egg.
